An audience of over 900 people attended the Harefield Gymnastics Academy ‘Through the Decades’ show at Watersmeet Theatre, Rickmansworth on Sunday 22 May 2016. Over 300 gymnasts participated ranging from 4 to 18 years of age. Gymnasts from Recreational classes up to the Elite Squad participated wowing the audience with their breathtaking dance and acrobatic gymnastic displays.
The Principal of The Harefield Academy, Tash Moriarty, together with the Chair of the Three Rivers District Council, Cllr. Andrew Scarth and his wife Cllr. Alison Scarth and other VIP guests were in attendance.
A number of Harefield Academy students in the Elite Squad performed. The audiences were amazed and mesmerised by the highly professional performances. The day was a great success for the Club enabling the children to show off their enormous talent. Gymnasts, coaches and volunteer helpers finished the day exhausted but proud of their efforts.
The Club is currently raising money towards a permanent sprung floor and the show has raised several thousand pounds, a significant step towards this project.
Working with the Community, the Harefield Gymnastics Academy was proud to raise nearly £2,000 for Solving Kids Cancer to help Jessica’s Journey, for Jess a local girl currently battling her illness.
