The Harefield Academy Art Exhibition 2015
Visitors to the THA Art Exhibition (Thursday 11th June) were treated to a display of our GSCE and A level students' illustrated boards, tracking the exploration and experimentation that lead to their final exam pieces, which were also on display.
The following day we invited classes of students to come and have a look too. It isn’t often that exam work can be displayed for students to walk in amongst and analyse. Year 7 and 8 students (and a few teachers) were quite overwhelmed by the amount of work that goes into securing a GCSE/A level in Art. One young man wrote: “I enjoyed it because it was interesting, because I loved all of the paintings and work and because it shows expression and feeling.” Stephanie Powell’s butterfly painting was a clear favourite amongst the students.
