Year 13 student Danny Lewis and Sixth Form Student Manager, Claire Fitzgerald

Once again an outstanding set of results at The Harefield Academy for our Sixth Form students with 100% pass rate, second year running. Acting Principal, Robin Hall, said, “I’m delighted with the results and the continued success of our Sixth Form students in gaining places at university. We are so proud of our Sixth Formers achievements and the dedication of the staff.”

Head of Sixth Form, Mrs. Brady commented, “This has been a remarkable year for The Academy with one of our largest cohorts of students going to Russell Group universities.”

Head Girl, Nikita Sodha (A,A,B) said that her results were a complete surprise and this was the happiest day of her life! Nikita will go to City University London to study Maths and Finance. With grades of B,B,B, Joshua Holland is heading for Loughborough to read Chemical Engineering and is relieved that everything has paid off. Annabelle Katumba commented that she is “really delighted” and will now study Law at Birmingham. Andrew Noel enthused, “Excellent results, I feel like King of the World!” Andrew will study History at Queen Mary.

Local university, Brunel, will have the pleasure of educating Jordan Gani who will be going there to study Sports Health and Exercise Science with Business Studies. Also at Brunel will be Bradley Hayden who will be reading Journalism and is “looking forward to the future”.

After a year in America, Ocean Gregory will go onto Liverpool University. She said that she is really happy… “the hard work was worthwhile”.

Two students who will go to Reading University are Nicole Dredge (A,A,C) studying Philosophy, and Georgia Simmonds (A*,B,C,C) who will study English Literature. Year 13 student, Danny Lewis, will be going to Bournemouth University to read Journalism.

Sam Pleszak was our first Harefield Academy lower school graduate to enrol from Year 11 to the Sixth Form Basketball Academy programme. Sam effortlessly combined his academic studies with his sporting performance whilst at The Academy. After successfully completing the Level 3 BTEC National Diploma in Sports Performance and Excellence and achieving the highest possible grade of D*D* in combination with his basketball prowess, he has won a place at the Combine Academy in Charlotte, US.  We wish Sam all the best in the new stage of his career in the United States and are sure that he is destined to achieve his ambitions which he greatly deserves.

Our AS grades this year have been excellent and bode very well for our final results next year. We are thrilled for Evan Clancy and Rohith Unnikrishnan who both achieved A,A,A,B in their respective subjects.

University offers are still coming through and we will be updating our website with more breaking news.
