Eight senior Harefield residents were invited...
On Monday 14th December, eighty senior Harefield residents were invited to our annual Senior Residents' Christmas High Tea. Year 7 students opened the afternoon event by dropping 100 balloons into the Café area. The residents then joined in with Year 7, The Chamber Choir and Orchestra to sing Christmas Carols.
This year’s games consisted of giant pass the parcel – wrapped by boarding house students, a difficult memory game where our guests saw forty objects on the screens that they had to remember and a stack the card challenge which nearly proved impossible. The High tea was excellent and was prepared and served at the tables by our Year 11 Hospitality students supervised by Mr Martin and Mrs Bates.
Sixth Form students helped by welcoming our guests, serving them sherry and joining them at their tables during the High Tea. The quiz and raffle helped round off a wonderful and enjoyable afternoon.
The event was organised extremely well by our Beyond School Manager, Mr Peter Smith.
