The Harefield Academy - Champions Again!
Congratulations to The Harefield Academy U16 boys table tennis squad who won the Butterfly U16 National School Team Table Tennis Championships held in Hinckley, Leicestershire on Saturday 24 March 2012. They beat Capital City Academy in the final.
The team consisted of Danny Lewis, Tyrone Wells, Mitchell Jones and Baiden Thoroughgood – all Year 10 students (U16 can include Year 11 students).
This is the third year running that The Harefield Academy has won the U16 Team Championships and congratulations must also go to Eli Baraty, their coach, for such a wonderful achievement.
The team have also been selected by the ESTTA to represent England in the World Schools’ Championship this Easter and are off to Sardinia to compete against the best in the world on Friday 31 March.
