The Harefield Academy is not just a base for talented athletes, but those who want to extend their participation into coaching.

 

Laura Picton-Perrins, Year 10, was a talented swimmer and her love of the sport has now led her into becoming a swimming teacher’s assistant.

 

 

She helps out at the weekends at Merchant Taylor’s pool for 2 hours on a Saturday and a further hour on a Sunday, every weekend. 

 

Laura has been swimming herself for 10 years now and has achieved many awards over the years.

By becoming involved in helping to teach other youngsters, Laura is continuing to develop her leadership skills and is a real role model for other youngsters, those she teaches as well as her peers.
