A new scheme has been piloted at The Academy which saw three members of the non-teaching staff study for their NVQ Level 1 in Health & Safety at Work exam.

 

We are very proud to say that after all their hard work everyone passed with flying colours and our congratulations go to Carol Pertl (Welfare Officer) Steve Hillier (ICT Technician) and Darren Gidney (Groundsman).

Qualifications such as these are a great boost to any establishment as it gives staff the confidence to implement improvements, as well as promoting the importance of a good health and safety culture. We hope to see the scheme rolled out in the New Year to all staff at The Academy.
