Sixth Form Summer Results 2011
The Harefield Academy Sixth Form continues to go from strength to strength with another year of fantastic exam results from our Post 16 students. The A Level students yet again achieved a 100% A2 Level pass rate with the points score up on 2010. There is also much to celebrate from a sporting perspective, with the Sporting Excellence students achieving a record number of Distinction grades as well. In addition, a number of our students achieved A* passes in their A2 subjects for the first time.

Lynn Gadd, Principal, said: "We have enjoyed a very good year and the improvement in the results is testament to our hard working and committed staff, students and parents. A very high percentage of our students have gained their places at university which is just fantastic."

Head Girl Leads the Way
The Harefield Academy’s Head Girl, Katie Merson, who lives in Harefield, is delighted on achieving two A* and A grades. The A* grade is only awarded to students with the highest percentage of the highest grade.

Charlie-May Hallam-Flaherty (right) and Niamh McGrath (middle) are also rejoicing as they each achieved two A* grades. Charlie-May and Niamh are both planning to begin their teaching degrees in the autumn.

Another local girl, Charlotte Swatton achieved a Distinction with her Media qualification in addition to two further A Levels whilst training to be a British Sign Language signer in her spare time. Charlotte hopes to make signing her future career. Gregory Deer achieved both A* and A grades whilst committing himself wholeheartedly to the Watford FC Scholarship Programme.
