We are a Good school with Outstanding features!

Everyone at The Harefield Academy is celebrating the recently published Report of an OFSTED Inspection that took place in July 2011.

The Report describes The Academy as Good with several Outstanding features.

Principal, Mrs. Gadd, said: “We are delighted with the outcomes of the OFSTED Inspection. The Inspection team recognised the great learning that takes place and the extremely high level of care the students receive. We feel that the Report really celebrates our achievements in so many ways - the Inspectors particularly commented on the confidence the local community has in The Academy.”

David Meller, Sponsor, said: “The Report makes excellent reading; I particularly liked the section that describes the unwavering belief that everyone can achieve the highest possible goals at The Academy.”

Mrs. Rice-Morley, a Community Governor, said: “I am extremely proud to be part of this wonderful establishment and its achievements since opening. The Harefield Academy has gone from strength to strength with the wonderful leadership and hardworking staff who have proved that we have the ability to be the best. The Academy has certainly put Harefield on the map in such a short time and offers so many wonderful opportunities not just for its students but the Harefield Community in general for which we are really grateful.”

The Harefield Academy now has 895 students and the demand for places is very high indeed. The vast majority of students live in the catchment area but there is some selection for those young people with sporting aptitude. The Academy opened in 2005 and was one of the very first academies in the country.
