Young Guns Selected for England U12 Danone Nations Cup

The English Schools’ FA have selected two of our young footballers to represent England U12 this year in the Danone Nations Cup (DNC) World finals. The Danone Nations Cup is the largest world cup for students aged between 10 and 12, involving 2.5 million children from 40 countries all over the world!

Tom Constant and Rahzir Smith-Jones both in Year 7 have been chosen for the competition which will be held in Warsaw, Poland, in early September.  The selection was made from the school teams that reached the final stages of the ESFA National Cup earlier this year.

Tom and Rahzir were given the news by one of The Academy’s sponsors, David Meller.  Both boys were absolutely delighted with the news, which according to Tom was ‘awesome’!

Another two  of our Year 7 students, San-tze Burgess and Jadon Sancho have also been selected as reserves for the U12 England squad.

Congratulations to all of the boys – a fantastic achievement!
