Harefield crowned overall Table Tennis ''Number One'' Centre
The Sherwood cup is a tournament that includes every Greenhouse table tennis school, all competing against one another from Year 7 through to 10. Both boys and girls compete and every year group collects points depending on where they finish. You may be the strongest Year 10 but that is not enough to win the tournament as you must be strong throughout each year group to have a good chance of winning the overall title..
The talented Table Tennis Squad
The Harefield Academy showed strength in depth by reaching 3 finals, 2 semi-finals, and many quarter final stages, ultimately collecting enough points to take the title. It was only 2 years ago that Harefield finished in eleventh place out of 12 schools; last year Harefield finished in 6th place and this year are now crowned champions becoming the Greenhouse Number 1 table tennis school.
The Harefield Academy teams were as follows:
Year 7: Rebecca Woolterton, Joe Franklin, Harry McCorkell
Year 8: Kelsey Toner, Michael Gillet, Alex Cleary
Year 9: Elena Keeley, Mitchell Jones, Tyrone Wells
Year 10 Eleni Kailou, Max Kidd-Rossiter, Adam Young
