Houses at The Harefield Academy
All students at The Harefield Academy are allocated to one of six Houses. Students represent their Houses in a wide range of activities and events throughout the year.
Each House is named after a famous sports personality.

Lewis Olympian Denise Lewis OBE is best known for winning gold in Heptathlon. Her medal haul includes a Commonwealth bronze and two golds, two silvers from the World Championships and a gold in the European Championships |

Navratilova Martina Navratilova is the most dominant tennis player ever. Her tennis accolades include 59 Grand Slam titles which include a record 9 Wimbledon singles championships. This total an impressive 344 tournament victories across four decades. |

Pele The legendary Brazillian football player, Pele, is the only player to be part of three World Cup-winning squads. He is known throughout the world for his accomplishments and contributions to the game of football. |

Redgrave Former British rower, Sir Steve Redgrave, is one of only four Olympians to have won a gold medal at five consecutive Olympic Games. This achievement led to him being hailed as Britain's greatest Olympian. |
House Competition
Every year, during the summer holidays, students transferring into Year 7 are invited to take part in a project to find out about their House sporting personality. Further details of the competition are announced at the annual Induction Evening. All entries should be brought into school within the first few days in September, when judging takes place. Winners are announced during the Year 7 Settling In Evening which is usually held in September.
