Inclusion/EAL/Literacy Specialist Teachers
The Department is supported by specialist teachers for Speech and Language, Visual Impairment, Hearing Impairment and ASD. Educational Psychologists, mental health experts and therapists also support as required.
The SENCo is responsible for the administration, record keeping and the organisation of classroom and withdrawal support for all students with Special |Educational Needs.
The Teaching Assistants work in the classroom under the direction of the class teacher. The Teaching Assistants are given training as appropriate and many have undertaken national qualifications.
