‘This Girl Can’ Sports Day at Uxbridge College
A group of Year 9 and 10 girls was invited to Uxbridge College to participate in taster sessions, nutrition workshops and to meet professional athletes on Wednesday 7th March. It was a well organised event where the girls had to meet new people from other schools and play different sports with them. They were able to take part in Pilates, Rugby, Handball, Netball, ‘Zoo’ training (fitness workout) and Boxing. The Rugby session was led by a Rugby World Cup Champion Kat Merchant who led the girls in an intense skills session that was enjoyed by all.
