Wear Green for Grenfell Years 7, 8, 9, 10 and 12 - Friday 15th June
The 14th June 2018 will mark one year since the Grenfell tower fire. Grenfell community will be marking the anniversary in a reflective way spending time with loved ones and on the 15th June they will have a community day organising activities for all ages.
The Grenfell Remembrance initiative is led by Grenfell United (with the support of Government agencies) with the aim of bringing communities together to celebrate community unity, cohesion and diversity. Schools and community groups have been invited to wear green and help with or fundraise for a local community project.
Grenfell United are asking communities across the UK to come together and celebrate unity and diversity within our own communities by working together on a project of our choosing. Whether it is painting a community centre, planting days in communal gardens, fundraising activities where funds raised can be reinvested into a local community/project.
They are inviting all schools and community organisations to join them for Green For Grenfell Day on Friday 15th June and celebrate unity by wearing green, working on a common cause.
In the spirit of this, we will be putting the funds towards a school community project with a proportion going to Grenfell fundraising itself.
