Early in June in Cumbria, THA Year 10 student, Sameenah Toussaint won gold at the Lord Lonsdale Box Cup 2018. She won the best female bout of the tournament even though she had to enter at a weight above her normal fighting category.

Sameenah was granted a Power Day Athlete Bursary to assist with her training, travel and equipment, and this will  be presented to her at the Power Day Awards soon.

A huge well done to Sameenah, all at THA are so impressed and proud of Sameenah's amazing achievement. She is a great example of a sportsperson at the top of her game who still maintains excellent attendance at school of 98+%.
