England themed non-uniform day Wednesday 11th July
Following on from the success of the England Football Team at the World Cup on Saturday, The Harefield Academy would like to give our support to the team who are now in the semi-finals by organising an ‘England World Cup Celebration Day’ on Wednesday 11th July.
This celebratory event will include a non-uniform day, with students invited to wear ‘England’ themed clothing to school for the day (any student who chooses not to wear England themed clothing must wear their school uniform). A suggested donation of £1 will be collected as students arrive in the morning and we ask that the correct change is brought to ease collection. The Sports Department is organising prizes for the most creative England themed outfits! Surplus funds (after related expenses have been deducted) collected will be equally spilt with our ongoing memorial fundraising for George, Harry and Josh and FOTHA (Friends of The Harefield Academy).
The clothing worn must be suitable for school. Students who are inappropriately dressed will be asked to go home and change and we would of course prefer to avoid any interruptions to learning.
Unacceptable clothing:
- Stiletto, high or pointed heels, platform shoes
- Low cut or otherwise revealing tops
- Short or otherwise revealing skirts or trousers
- Hats are not permitted inside the school building
For health and safety reasons no additional jewellery may be worn than is acceptable on a normal school day.
Thank you in advance for your support.
