The sun came out on Friday 12^th July for the Annual Harefield Academy Sports Day. It was a great day with many students showing their competitive spirit in the athletic events. There was amazing support and encouragement from the Year 7’s and 8’s who were cheering on their Houses in every race giving them that extra boost to get over the finish line.

The day started with the 400m where students had to sprint to line in some very close races. The track was very competitive with some Tutor groups achieving bonus points for having two participants enter.

The staff’s competitive spirit came out too when we had a staff V Year 10 winners Tug of War which resulted in the students winning. The staff will need to do some more training next year!

The overall Year Group winners were as follows:-

Year 7 – Joshua House (They won by winning more events as they had a tied score.)

Year 8 – Joshua House

Year 9 – Joshua House

Year 10 – Joshua House
