Connor to study Classical Civilisation at Bristol University and Riya to study Economics and Politics at Manchester University. Congratulations!

We are delighted to congratulate our Sixth Form students today on their fantastic exam successes. Their hard work has resulted in continued improvements in outcomes.  We saw the proportion of students achieving grades A*-A in their A levels rise from 12.5% in 2018 to an impressive 19.8% this summer.

We are delighted that our overall value added score continues to improve. We are above national average with our students achieving a value added score of 0.35, where national averages sit at 0. This means students at The Harefield Academy are achieving over one third of a grade higher than is achieved across the country. We are delighted with this improving trend and grateful to our dedicated staff for the support they have given to students in securing such great results.

As a result, all our Sixth Form students have been successful in progressing to approved destinations.  54% are heading to University/Higher Education/training with all other students moving in to employment or planned gap years.

Our Vocational Students achieved particularly well this year with the percentage of students achieving a Distinction/ Distinction* increasing from 58.37% in 2018 to 68.4%. Huge congratulations to our BTEC Sports team on this fantastic achievement. Particular success came for Essence Martins achieving a Double Distinction*, Distinction in her Level 3 Extended Diploma in Sport. Essence is now going to continue her studies in the USA, with the focus on Sport. Daniel Avogo achieved Distinction*, Distinction*, Distinction* in his Level 3 Extended Diploma.
