Year 7 boys and girls took part in the first Metropolitan Police Inter Schools Tournament for the Borough of Hillingdon. This tournament was to raise awareness of knife crime and 'Operation Sceptre'. The Police are trying to educate and engage with young people to highlight the dangers of carrying a knife and are working in partnership with local schools to reduce this problem.

Both THA teams were off to great start winning there groups and advancing into the semi-finals. The girls won every game and the boys only lost one game by the narrowest of margins. The semi-finals were tough. The girls played Queensmead B and beat them 3-1. The boys played Northwood and won 2-0.
It was very exciting for both teams to reach the final. After their last team talk, they were ready to play. The girls scored first but unfortunately let in 2 goals to lose 2-1. It was so close and a shame to lose by the smallest of margins. The boys game was even closer! They drew after full-time with 1 goal each. It was then 3 penalties each, both teams scored 2 meaning sudden death and unfortunately the boys lost but it was a great game to watch and everyone enjoyed themselves.

At the end of the tournament there was a trophy for the Player of the Tournament which was won by Stephanie Webb (7 Lewis) and a Goal Keeper of the Tournament which was won by Tommy Howell (7 Coe).
Well done students!
