About Lord Adonis House
"Children and young people display excellent social skills and interact positively with the enthusiastic and skilled staff team." HMI
Lord Adonis House is a home that is passionate about enriching the lives of its students. The reasons why students board here are many and varied but the common factor is to fulfill their dream and achieve success. The strong, extensive enrichment programme and weekend activities allow for an excellent holistic education. We have exceptionally high expectations of our boarders and expect them to shine in all aspects of academic study.
Lord Adonis House is a modern state of the art co-educational boarding house, which was opened in September 2011.
The House includes a spacious communal space with a pool table an outside table tennis table, TV room and a Learning Resource ICT centre. The House has a large private garden that allows boarders to enjoy opportunities to develop horticultural skills. Boarders also have four family kitchens, washing and drying machines to support them in developing their independence.
Years 7-9 students share three bed dormitories, whilst Years 10 and 11 share two bed dormitories.
Sixth Form students benefit from having their own rooms with an en-suite.
Boys and girls are accommodated in rooms that are physically separated but the clever design allows for flexibility year-on-year.
Please note that admission to Lord Adonis House is limited to children who are European nationals and are eligible to hold a European passport, or those who have the right of residence in Europe.
Please note that all quotes used in the boarding section of our website come directly from the 2014/15 Ofsted report.
