1. Can I still be in the catchment area for THA if I live in a different Local Authority?

Yes! We have many students travelling from outside the London Borough of Hillingdon. Catchment areas, though important for primary school selection, would not prevent admission to THA.

2. What is the student behaviour like at your school?

Our last Ofsted report in 2021 rated our behaviour as ‘good’.’ ‘Pupils work hard and behave sensibly… Teachers know them as individuals. Numerous staff, parent and student surveys carried out each year also rates the behaviour of students as excellent. We encourage prospective parents to experience our learning environment for yourselves by booking a tour of our school through our website.

3. Are the grades good?

Our grades sit competitively with other schools in the borough at both GCSE and A Level. We are proud of our continuing improvements.

4. How can my child get to school?

The school is located metres from bus stops providing direct access to Uxbridge and Ruislip via the 331 bus. There is also a R1 school bus service to and from Rickmansworth.

5. What if my child is free school meals?

Please take a look at our admissions page with direct links to FSM application forms. Members of our Pastoral team can support you with the form.

6. Will my child receive lots of homework?

All homework timetables can be found on website. Year 7s receive 4 hours per week (30min per subject) All homework can be tracked by students, parents and teachers via the Class Charts app. This is also a really good tool to help organise homework and track rewards!

7. How do I contact the school?

Your main point of contact with the school should be through your child’s Form Tutor.

Any queries or concerns should be sent to them initially. If you feel you would like to speak to someone other than your child’s Form Tutor you can contact either the Head of Key Stage or their Student Manager. All contact details can be found on the school website along with our transition page for prospective parents.
