We are delighted that your child has been offered a place at The Harefield Academy for September 2020 and we are very much looking forward to welcoming you to our thriving school community. Although the move from Primary to Secondary school can seem daunting, we plan the transition process carefully to ensure that our new students are as excited about joining us as we are about meeting them.

In welcoming you to The Harefield Academy, we look forward to providing your child with a platform through which they can reach their full potential and become part of our very special community. Our school has gone through a period of significant improvement in recent years and we are very proud of the many successes that we are able to celebrate as a result.  This includes securing the best ever GCSE and post 16 results last summer that the school has ever achieved. We are also extremely proud of achievements from staff members, feedback from external visitors and our community, further details on this can be seen on our website and twitter via our #THAPROUD moments.

On this page you should find all the details needed to support a smooth transition, in the meantime, if you have any questions regarding transition, please contact Mr Bourne, rbourne@theharefieldacademy.org  or Mrs McCallum gaynor.mccallum@theharefieldacademy.org in the first instance. We would also welcome any questions via our THA school Twitter account - please use the hashtag #THAtransition2020, this will enable us to work as an online community to support each other with any questions and answers and will be a great way for us to communicate frequently.

Please encourage your child to take part in the challenges below, our fabulous THA Values creative task and the letter to your future Head of Year Mr Bourne! Completed letters can be emailed to Mrs McCallum gaynor.mccallum@theharefieldacademy.org and creative tasks can be displayed on the first day of term. We look forward to rewarding your efforts with these activities.
