The Harefield – Watford FC Partnership
The Harefield Academy has been in partnership with Watford FC for eight years and has revolutionised football academies across the country.
The Watford Development squad is for 16-18 year old students who want to secure an excellent education while completing football training everyday. The programme is coached by Watford Academy staff and takes place at The Harefield Academy’s outstanding facilities.
Academic Provision
Students have options to complete a wide variety of A-levels or BTEC qualifications.
Football Training
Students train for two hours each day with WFC Academy staff, receive fitness and conditioning, physiotherapy and rehabilitation on-site and play competitively each week. Our teams play in British Colleges, English Schools, Tactic League and Middlesex at U18.
Future Pathways
Students leave the Watford Development Programme and attend University, receive sports scholarships overseas and play semi-professional and even professional football.

The Programme is designed to replicate that of the Watford Academy as closely as possible, provide and outstanding education while maintaining high performance training!
